International Creativity Month

Not only does 1st January usher in the new year (Happy New Year, by the way!), but it also kick-starts International Creativity Month!

International Creativity Month was created by Randall Munson, but according to Days Of The Year, it is uncertain when he came up with the idea. Munson saw this as “an opportunity to inspire people to unleash the creativity that they were created with” (Creativepool).

I’ve spoken before about why creativity is so important to me, so in order to celebrate International Creativity Month, I have put together a list of 31 creative activities (one for each day of the month!) for you to have a go at. Some of them are relatively easy with which to get started, but others might require a little more effort/preparation/expense. You might not like the sound of some of them, but that’s fine – you might come up with ideas of your own! Or you might find that one of the activities really takes your fancy so you want to continue with that. Either way, try to incorporate a little creativity into each day this month, and see if you notice a difference.

  1. I didn’t know that. I like knowing that it’s International Creativity Month. At first, I felt a little intimidated, to be honest. I don’t think of myself as particularly creative. But the list is great. Some things I would never have thought of.
